Theodore Roosevelt portrayal

Gene Worthington of Fayetteville portrayed "Theodore Roosevelt" (1858-1919) at the Library.  An excellent portrayal was enjoyed by all attending.  West Virginia Humanities Council offers this portrayal through their History Alive!, An invitation to the past program.

During one of the classes for our Homeschool Group, these students put together an electricity generating turbine.

"Tricky Chaz" - Magic Show

"Tricky Chaz" the magician/juggler/balloon artist performed at the library August 1st. Charles Watson, alias "Tricky Chaz", performed many amazing tricks which puzzled the children as well as adults who attend the show.  Chaz involved the children in his show and had each person laughing, which is a good thing.  He is an excellent juggler also.  After his show he made each child attending a balloon figurine.  Our library director received a Mickey Mouse balloon figurine.  Refreshments were served and each child received a fun bag to take home provided by the Friends of the Rupert Library.

Visitors from New York and England

Deloris Lilly (center), brought her guests who were visiting our beautiful state to see our beautiful new library.
Hanna Cole is visiting from Oxford England and Nick Zvegintzon is visiting from Staten Island, New York.
The visitors were given a tour of the new library and they were very glad that we have such a nice facility.
Both Hanna and Nick are contributors of our library.  They were quite happy that we had wireless service
so they could keep in touch with family back home and take care of business.
